Haunting in the Hallway is the fifth book in Kathi Daley’s awesome The Inn at Holiday Bay series. The writing style flows smoothly, and the book is a clean and easy read. The storyline is well-plotted and complex, with lots of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged and guessing. The setting is charming, and the well-developed characters are affable, compassionate, and caring. I highly recommend this series to readers who enjoy well-crafted cozy mysteries.Abby Sullivan’s life changed dramati...
Haunting in the Hallway earns 5/5 Mazes of Pumpkins...Engaging and Clever! There are a few things Kathi Daley does well making her this work a personal favorite. First, a clever murder along with an inn of secrets, desires, and queries is engaging. Abby’s hunch where to find the missing bank manager uncovered two murders and then missing siblings, fresh starts, and ghostly noises. Next, her vivid descriptions for holiday prep and festivities put me into the holiday spirit. It’s October in Holiday...
I really love this series, and it seems like each new book is even better than the last. That's saying a lot, since they are all wonderful. Haunting in the Hallway is no exception. I enjoyed every page and as always, was left with a good feeling and a wish for the next book to be available soon! Don't miss Haunting in the Hallway!
Complex CozyThere were numerous mysteries in this latest installment of The Inn at Holiday Inn Series. There was a recent murder of the new bank president nobody liked who was buried in his own grave along with an unknown body. The Inn is finally open and people are coming there to solve their own mysteries. To top it off a person who lives in San Francisco shows up at Abby’s book signing. She is the sister of one of the cold case victims her deceased husband Ben had been investigating. The 2 mu...
Another great story in the Inn at Holiday bay series. This one takes place at Halloween. And as usual there is more than one mystery to solve at in Holiday bay.
Another winner from Kathi Daley! This series has quickly risen to the top of my must-buy-the-next-one list.Besides having the wonderful characters her readers become attached to as friends and grow to love, which Kathi Daley is known for, and the theme weekends that small town cozy readers adore, this series gives us not just one crime to solve but intertwined mysteries.I also have happy to report that characters we meet promise to return in future books! When we had been lulled into thinking the...
Disappointing! Kathi Daley’s The Inn at Holiday Bay: Haunting in the Hallway (The Inn at Holiday Bay Mysteries #5), I feel, is not up to Ms. Daley’s standard at all. I finished the mystery, but I felt as though I was just passing time. I decided to read this book as October is upon us, and Halloween is not too far away. Unfortunately, this story is just bland and choppy. Cozies have been fun for me usually, but not this one. The paranormal is of interest to me, but is not found in this book. Of
Another WinnerI'm really enjoying this series by Kathi Daley.I find all the characters to be quite interesting and I am enjoying getting to know them all. This particular book was really good, the mystery was well told and I had no idea who committed the crime.
I like the series because of the multiple of mysteries that show up after the last book left in a bit of a momentous moment but I really wanted to know what happened with Annie I felt there was this big hype about their relationship and how she refused to talk to her and then this book started without the mention until maybe a quarter of the way into it stating that they were mending things but I really wanted to know what happened like how the mending was going. I figured they would kind of sta...
