I like Dolly Parton so couldn't wait to read this cookbook when I heard about it. My daughter got it on a library loan and I read through it last night. I really enjoyed the book not only for the recipes but for the stories and memories from Dolly. I love her humor and can't wait to give some of the recipes a try. You won't be disappointed with this book.
Lot's of good recipes!
A nice collection of Southern recipes that Dolly ate growing up, as well as food she has enjoyed touring on the road. I like it that she gave a shout-out to Lambert's Cafe's Throwed Rolls. There's a nod to her movie career (the recipe "Cup-a, Cup-a, Cup-a" from Steel Magnolias) and her music career (a scrumptious-sounding chocolate and meringue dessert called "Islands in the Stream") Down-home chat precedes each recipe, and if there's an easier way to do it, Dolly tells you.
