This book is essentially a collection of Dolly Parton’s interviews over time, and while the author does warn that they can get repetitive, I didn’t realise quite how true that held. She has a spiel, which I certainly admire, but at the same time I would have liked a bit more from a book about her. Dolly is a wonderful subject and Randy L.Schmidt is a fantastic writer, but I found this book very repetitive and I would have liked to have delved a bit more "behind the scenes" of Dolly.Many thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
