I'm a sicker for a book where the main characters are monsters, so the blub of this very much appealed to me.If you want a quick, steamy RH with a range of monstrous characters who all are totally soft on one human girl, then you'll likely enjoy this book.I don't really read a lot of RH anymore, as I find myself mostly out of patience for the tropes and how samey they all are, as if there is some sort of RH cook book and every author just includes the same elements. After about 2 years of readin...
If you’re into delayed gratification and a lot of push from the heroes of a RH, this one’s for you. It’s a bit long winded and very introspective. Not enough dialogue or even interactions to speak of. Everyone is mostly dealing with their emotions.Alas, I hate when heroes make decisions for the heroine along the lines of “she can’t handle it” and “she’s not ready” and “it’s for her own good”. I despise this patronizing behavior and while it was not as insulting here because they genuinely care fo...
I liked the concept, the nightmares themselves and what we learned so far of the characters. I liked the multiple POVs and the originality of the different types and classes of monsters. I wish it had been a bit more fleshed out, with more about the world and more of the characters' histories and a bit less of the inner monologues over their relationships. I also had a few problems with the writing style, the flow of the story. The flashbacks were good for fleshing out the characters' backstorie...
Ahhh, my heart couldn’t stop fluttering. Alpha OTT possessive Monsters with a kick ass heroine, this RH book just made it to my all time favorite list (the first for RH genre), no judgment! 😆 now gimme book 2!
I tried so, so hard to like this book. The premise was very promising, something I've never seen before. I've read some of the author's other books they weren't the best, but they weren't the worst either, so I don't understand what happened here. It was hard to distinguish each character from the other, but that's a common reverse harem trope so I let it slide. But there's one thing that for the life of me I just couldn't get past. SO. MUCH. MONOLOGUE. The whole book takes place in the span of...
Yeah okay, here's the thing...The thing with this book was it took me at least 15 pages in to not abandon this book. Usually, reading M. Sinclair, books it takes her a minute to pull you in and when she does it on an poppin... She knows how to capture you and entertain you. However, it took my girl a bit to long to get me there this time, but I'm glad I stuck with it and gave myself a chance to get to know these characters and what they were all about.I will say this first book of the series was...
Hell ya! Keep em comin!! Cant wait for the next book. One of the most intriguing and quirky books i have read !!!A nightmare RH ? Seriously?? Book broke all the inhibitions. Handsdown Best 5 star read of the year!Monsters of the Darkness being lead by a tiny human girl. They are more Humane than any human. The book had me interested till the end. There was no drag , just the apt amount of drama for the story to get by.Overall its an amazing first book. Looking forward for the next on in the seri...
This is one of the best books I have ever read!!Soothing Nightmares was one of the most original and unique stories I have ever had the absolute pleasure of reading. I mean, what it must be like to be in brilliant mind of M. Sinclair...wowza! Just an absolute masterpiece! I was so completely captivated and consumed from the very beginning. To see a story come to life that introduces what it’s like if the ‘monsters under the bed’ were real. To have a war brewing under the surface as bigoted human...
Interesting conceptI'm a sucker for villain or a "monster" as the hero. This book did very well in bringing those types of characters. We spent a lot of time with character establishment, hopefully the next book will deal more with conflict.Im hoping the heroine will be a little less Mary Sue like. She's not fantastic at everything, but the devotion of the monsters makes it a fine line. And I'm just here for the monsters.
⭐️⭐️✨ 2.5 Stars (rounded down to 2)! ✨⭐️⭐️The idea of this book was something that interested me enough that I went ahead and pre-ordered it, and then when I read it, I was a little disappointed. This book had an amazing concept, literal nightmares, and yet…. It just fell flat.Arabella is the main FMC, and I really did like her. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, despite the fact that she’s human surrounded by actual nightmares, and she’s good at her job and keeping them all as calm as they...
The monsters, your worst nightmares but they have ...feelings and desires. And they all love Arabella but are afraid to touch her because they fear killing her. Intriguing story, interesting world.
