The last two volumes had a tendency to be a bit obtuse in the beginning of each volume, but then clarified the plot further as the story went along. All questions were not answered, but I took that as answers that would eventually come down in later volumes. If anything, this final volume left me more confused than ever. The plot picks up where the first book roughly leaves off. There are loose ties to the second volume, but again, its not really clear or clearly referenced at least. And the boo...
One word review; "Huh?"
The final part of Roche Limit ties the first two stories together and, as much as, the interior tag line to the volume promises "NOTHING EVER ENDS"...I'm here to tell you (view spoiler)[the story ends (hide spoiler)]. The archival materials disappear in the final series, as the world-building shifts into dreamscape apocalypse battles. There is an additional short (single-issue) story at the end of the volume. I realize it is a volume-ending bonus feature. It probably would have been a better fit...
I was hoping the series' final volume might be a return to form, but no. Imagine Dark City or maybe The Matrix, but less good, and also it's the finale to a trilogy so you already know what's behind the veil before you start.
I'll buy a beer to the first person who explains to me what the flying f-ck was going on in this book and how it can be considered good in any way (the 3.5+ average rating here is baffling). On the surface it seems Moreci tried to join elements of Solaris and Dark City with an alien invasion plot on top, but the pretentious monologuing and juvenile action turns it into a tonally jumbled mess. The fact that I read the previous volumes years ago and there wasn't any kind of recap, even though orig...
Unfortunately I found this to be an unsatisfying conclusion to the Roche Limit series. A shame as it had such promise.

Well, I had high hopes, but the ambitious story never quite satisfied, despite a valiant late effort to reference characters, events, timelines, and realities in the previous volumes. Not even the bonus short story, featuring our favorite dispassionate android Hello Danny who is definitely not Bishop, could make up for the series' shortcomings. This last volume seemed rushed, delegating plot advancement to monologue and superhuman jumps of reasoning. I just could not grok the central premise of t...
This piece of existentialist sci-fi is very well executed but for me, it wasn't as memorable as other graphic novels I have been reading in volumes so I had to go back to refresh my memory and understand what was going on. It felt like a Matrix meets the spiritual world in space saga and it kept me entertained and engaged once I remembered the plot like.Tough female characters, sacrifices in the name of science and love, plus aliens. What's not to love?
Very satisfying ending to the series. I did find it a little disjointed and almost too fast paced. I would’ve liked some more story building and character time (as it was, it took me the entire first chapter to remember all the characters - 25% of the whole story). As a complete story, it’s interesting and thought-provoking. However the first volume is the strongest with the most time dedicated to world building and plot development. The second two volumes felt like action thriller sequels that
After my complaints of the first two volumes being derivative, Volume 3 manages to leverage both the few original elements of those stories and to effectively tie those volumes together into a conclusion I was interested in. I'm not exactly going to be telling others that this trilogy is a must-read or anything like that though.
The conclusion to a confusing but very interesting series: What is real? What is illusion? It's a shame that I do not remember what happened in the previous two volumes but this final volume is fascinating if not totally clear. This science-fiction series deals with aliens trying to take over the Earth in their own special way and the few individuals, alive and dead, trying to prevent this happening. There's plenty of action and, as stated earlier, it is not always clear what is going on but I enj...
