Another collection of short vignettes that are unrelated and not building to anything coherent that I can see. Not only are we "treated" to multiple artists in this issue, but even multiple artist within the short stories (about 8 pages each). This is just overkill, and I really only enjoyed the art from one or two of them. The super-distorted cartoon/comic strip art just doesn't work for me - especially when we've been spoiled by the fantastic art early in this series.Even the stories aren't at...
So it's another yearbook issue. I'm really not a fan of these. The last one was cute, but this one felt extraneous. I didn't learn anything, the plot did not move along, and again, I'm not a fan of the multiple art types. I'm ready for Gotham Academy to get back to awesome story lines and the fantastic/adorable art of the first ones.
I have to say, this one was a big disappointment.. I didn't even enjoy the art. I'm hoping we get back to the nice stories we used to have AND also the adorable art from the first issues.
2 Stars, don’t botherAnd this is another continuation of mini story about the Gotham Academy. I don’t like the art work for Staff Party mini story and the story is almost non existent. As for the Serpents and Spells mini story, the art is even worse. The story was average and was about roleplaying games sort of at least. The short story about the dog was the best of the three but even then it was only average. I know this stupid yearbook thing goes on for at least one more issue which i’m not ve...
The plot on this had already been lost among a shuffle of wanting to do too many things so in fact it did absolutely nothing, but then it went to short stories. This is the second issue of short stories. And I think I'm done. I was already losing hope in the series as with the first 8 issues I was hooked, then suddenly it started falling apart. Now I'm at issue 15 going, "Is this worth my time and money anymore?" The answer seems to be no.
Why?
