5/5 similar humor to the show which was really nice. We get a chapter all about Ball Fondlers, so maybe soon we'll get a volume about Two Brothers.
My favourite parts:- dreams & science- Cyberpunk dimensionThat's it, review's over.
More zaniness from the Rick & Morty crew, this one I found as entertaining as the first volume (also reviewed here on GR).
Loved the Blumbus strip and the Ball Fondlers special. Overall I'd say volume 2 might be a little better than the already fine volume 1.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes,
Even if I didn't get most of the jokes and didn't watch the show yet. I still enjoyed it!Rick is such a great fun grandpa with a drinking problemMorty is a cool kid who weirdly gets a lot of girlsSummer is badassThe Mom hates her husbandI hate Jerry too.
Pleasantly surprised by how well the series transitioned into comic form. Fun, funny, clever, bizarre. And it gives good attention to the development of the characters, too....
I originally read something that I thought was called Rik and Morty book 1. Then I got this, Rik and Morty Volume 2. And it has some of the same stories as in the other book I read. Not sure on what the deal is. Anyway, it contained good Rik and Morty adventures and I certainly enjoyed it.
If you like the show you'll like the comics. Only downside was the art style changed half way through. I thought of it as a different universe and kept going.
Wubba lubba dub dub! Another wonderfully bizarre and deranged "Rick and Morty" comic! The first half of this volume is a story about a Morty who becomes a mad dictator in a Rick-less universe, followed by an installment of "Ball Fondlers" and a rather twisted spin on a classic and wholesome Christmas story.Just as good as volume one, but still not quite as good as the show. Fans of the animated series will love this.
This one may have been funnier than the first go-round, especially the side-splitting Ball Fondler's special. (I LOVED Commander Normalhead Regulararms!) The art in the main story, though, was pretty awful. I didn't even know the redhead was supposed to be Summer until someone said her name. Can't wait for the next one.
It's a great book !!! I recommend it !!!!
I like that this comic focused more on the council of Rick's and the multiverse that they talk about in the show.
It's like a typical episode of Rick and Morty, only with Jerry fucking up even more than usual and it's amazing. This volume has a solid story with Morty taking over a universe without any Ricks in it, plus the Blumbus issue is just one of the greatest things you will ever read! Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of the show, it will fill the Rick and Morty void until the new season. Plus all the awards, Rick, just take um all.
It was ok.Some fun stories, some ok, some not so great! Great artwork, and the story is pretty much just ok, and that was my main problem, I was worrying so much about the characters not being in character with the show, which was fine, Rick and Morty too were both well written, it was just that the stories were mediocre at best with nothing new to add.
Main story was great but, giving 4 stars this time because “The ball Fondlers special” felt like a lazy way to fill extra pages. I’m honestly not reading Rick and Morty to read about completely random characters that I don’t know or care about. That’s my only beef with this volume.
I am going to keep this review rather short-this is, after all, a Rick and Morty comic, not Kierkegaard. Rick and Morty go to a dimension where there are no Ricks. Morty (this dimension's) has become a dictator and Summer leads the resistance. This is the primary story. It is funny and the art? Well it looks like Rick and Morty. So if you're a fan of the hilarious cartoon, then this comic will make you chuckle. If this show isn't for you then neither is the comic book. There are some other short
Well I am on a bender and will probably read all 5 volumes today. The jokes have become more sophisticated with references to '80s and 90's science fiction. That does not mean there are no immature sex jokes. The filler pages were going over my head as they were next level bizarre but enjoyable none the less. There is a whole weird sequence not related to the plot and in the end, you realize they are watching interdimensional tv.
Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, Y'all!I swear, Rick and Morty is just pure comedy gold. I just absolutely adore the shit outta this show (and now graphic novel series). So, this reads like your typical Rick and Morty episode, the only difference being that Jerry fucks things up on a whole other level. Yeah, that's right, Jerry. You should be ashamed of yourself! This was not only a really fun issue, but a kind of important one too? (If you consider Rick and Morty to be super important in your life like I do...
