Another great book by the giant himsef, Anthony Robbins. Talks abut many things that can improve one{s life and take people to the next level. Highly recommended.
Yep, crazy as it is, I like this silly big guy. The book is alright (for free on his web). The main interest for me is how much of current cog-psychology of motivation he already anticipated in the 80ies. His language is completely outside my standard reading material, and there are quite a few points that are pushing it. Yet, I do like him even though I know he is only maybe 98.5% genuine.
Timeless! An enormously valuable set of reminders : ------------------------"The key to success is movement, which creates: confidence, strength, flexibility, personal power, and fun. Stagnation comes from lack of movement. 'Old' is not a matter of age, it’s a lack of movement... and the ultimate lack of movement is death.""Make feeling good your expectation. You don’t have to have a reason to feel good... you’re alive!""Emotions are an internal compass pointing you toward the actions you must t...
Ted Talks brought me here actually. And although this book presented some good ideas of self motivation and brain training, it had nothing new to offer and was a little bit boring at the end.
This book tries to teach you some techniques to overcome bad habits. Scientifically speaking it tries to teach you how to override current neuro associations in your mind with better ones that help you with reaching your goals. For a short read/listen, I recommend this book. But it can go into more depth. If you have the time you can read the original Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny!.
This is a pared-down version of Awaken the Giant Within, it covers much of the same material, but does so more quickly, leaving out a lot of the extras. It is a good introduction to Anthony Robbins ideas.
I have a huge amount of respect for Tony Robbins, he started out just the same as everyone else, but he took control of his life and the way he saw the world, and became massively successful because of it.This book tells you how to make the changes in your life that you want to make. If you've been trying to lose weight and haven't been able to keep it off, or if you want to quit smoking - whatever it is, there are techniques in here to help you.For me, the best idea he discusses is the idea of
Grow stronger, smarter, more successful every day, this book provides tools you can utilize every day to benefit your life immensely. Ask better questions, be clear on your values and the person you want to be, take control of your emotional states, especially when lassitude sets in, contribute to others, most importantly improve every single day, and the results will follow :) Highly recommend this book, rich, but succinct vocabulary, great examples of the methods in action, truly inspiring man...
This book is really helpful. It's more simple than the previous one. read it again.... read it again... and it will change our point of view! Thanks Robbin! I love it!
I'd give this maybe a 4.5. This was my first Tony Robbins book/product. Until now the only thing I had heard was a previous employer who talked about how fake he was and how he ripped off his customers. I figured he was basically a gym jock that just tried to always pump you up. But a simple check into his clientele and experience and life story paints a very different picture. After reading this introduction to his system I have become a big fan. I think he is completely legitimate and sincere....
The first Anthony Robbins book I read was a copy of the original 'Awaken the Giant Within', and it left a sour taste in my mouth. It wasn't that the book lacked substance, or the ideas were skewed - for it actually held valuable information and tools which I believe even to this day can help just about anyone - it was him. I'm sure he's a great guy in real life. He seems so passionate and genuine in how much he wants to help people; however, what let the original book down, in my opinion, was hi...
A free ebook with a mishmash of Robbins' books. The intention is clear: to sell his products. I wouldn't mind that if the content weren't so confusing, especially after the first middle. The book extracts exist to "give a taste" of his books and seminars, so you leave the book wanting more... His self-claimed urge to help people kind of sounds fake if everything comes with a tag price on it.
I think anyone with an open mind who wants to change anything can benefit from reading Tony's work. If you can't gain anything from reading this book then you probably have issues with accepting any responsibility for your own life. This is one of the very best books I have ever read, second only to Tony's other book on which this is based and which goes in to more detail, Awaken the Giant Within. Unlimited Power is also an excellent book and choosing between the two is near impossible for me.Thi...
My biggest takeaways from this book:It is not enough to just dream. You have to make the decision to fulfill your dreams. By deciding to fulfill your dreams, you have to cut out the possibility of you failing or not succeeding. Plant this in your head: There simply is no scenario or possibility that I will fail to reach my goals and dreams. Then, you have to work constantly to achieving your dreams, and you do that by focusing on the things that really matter. Also, it is important to associate t...
What’s in it?What makes the difference in the quality of peoples’ lives? How to change your life? How to take control of your life? How to shape your life?Key take-outs1. You decide what you focus on, what things mean to you and what to do to create the results you desire2. Change can happen in an instant if we change our belief system3. To change our belief system we must associate pain with our past belief and pleasure with our new belief4. What we want in life really comes down to feelings, a...
it surely had a big impact on my life,i learned how to control my emotions, how to be positive,it was also an eye opened on my life's goals ,what do i relly wanated.the before_me and after-me are magically incompatibe with eachother on the energy, mindset and determination level. just reading this book won't make you BILL GATES by the day after, but, it will be an ey-opened point in your life if you interact with each of its lessons and applied it on your daily life....it's all a matter of routine/...
It is the first book I read in the self-development area. And I enjoyed it! It is helpful, and You have to get back to it. I, myself just set a target to read it once again in ten years. Hoping to update my positive review at the time!
Use this book to review what you have learned from Awaken the Giant Within. This book still shares the same information as the first version but shorter for reminding purpose. However, it's exciting with new stories and a bit new insights from Tony Robbins. And It's free to download. For new reader it's still great because of the adequate information you read.http://core.tonyrobbins.com/atgw-ebook
A condensed version of Awaken the Giant Within. Robbins gives some powerful tools and strategies for emotional mastery. An inquiry into your belief system, values, identity and how these shape who we are and what we do. Introspective, insightful and a powerful agent of change if you are willing to do the work.
I genuinely like Tony Robbins. I follow him on Instagram, watch his speeches and I read his books - I fantasize about going to his pricey seminars and workshops. I once wanted to find a list of books that influenced him the most and the list counted thousands. He is the motivational speeches' Master and Commander. So I understand why I couldn't find a lot of details in his big book. Because he will talk a lot, and explain a lot, and NLP a lot, and discuss a lot, but he won't give you detailed te...
