It's been really fun having a new Miss Fortune to read.First: You have Fortune Reading as a New Year's Queen contestant. Can you imagine Fortune in a sequined dress and high heels?Second: You have two people who left Sinful shortly after graduation returning, one of them winds up dead and possible suspects that the Swamp Team are unwilling to accept.Third: Then you have Gerti!
It’s an amazing thing to be able to write a series like this (this book is number 22) and still have a new and interesting story to tell!Jana Deleon is truly a gifted author. Since I have it from the author herself that she doesn’t plot her books, she just makes up the opening scene and then writes along, it’s even more impressing. The series of ex CSI assassin Fortune Redding who ends up in Sinful Louisiana is fun, witty and filled with the unexpected. This time around Swamp Team 3 takes help fro...

They persuade Fortune to run for Queen (bribery is involved) and afte...

I adore these characters 🥰Every time I pick up the newest Miss Fortune Mystery I find myself falling more in love with the characters. There are a few iffy moments in the investigation side of things, but we see more of the community that Fortune has come to know, and I can forgive a more basic investigation when we delve more into the friendships that the once loner, Fortune, has managed to foster. There is a large surprise for Fortune that Carter seems to have sneakily arranged (maybe?), and a...
