the word that comes to mind is serviceablewhich i'm sure isn't what they were going for when they decided to write this romance. it just wasn't anything special. i appreciated the warm christmas setting & the traditions that our characters have. but the romance didn't blow me away. i don't like when our heroine has been pining for the hero and when she admits her feelings he's like "oh wow i didn't even realize you were an option. but a ha ha you're so sexy." i don't mean that just for this book...

I enjoyed this novel a great deal. I dropped right into the voice which is beautifully done as always by this author. Voice is the most difficult aspect of a novel and Lauren makes it look easy. This book is light and fun and a nice way to clear the reading pallet. For some reason the use of the Groundhog’s Day tromp is has been getting a lot of play lately. It’s a difficult story line to pull off, the repetition of the same event, in this case five days during Christmas without turning mundane....
