Karen is still a little bit annoying with her exaggerations and single mindedness but it’s also pretty realistic of a bossy little kid. 🤣This was a cute enough story. My students will like it.
Not as good as the first book. The plot was a bit boring.
It was better than last one. Although I am not fan of Karen promoting lying.
Karen is a very good skater. She has a new pair of roller skates and she can't wait to use them! She falls down and breaks her wrist. No more roller skating for Karen. In the hospital, she meets a classmate, who is also in a cast. Karen wants to get as more signatures than him so she can show off at school. She is determined to get the signature of a famous person. Unfortunately for me, I didn't love the book because I didn't like Karen's character. I thought she acted like a spoiled brat! Every...
Another nice visit to my childhood 🙂🙂
I love how these are being made into graphic novels to be enjoyed by another generation. The illustrations and story are awesome. I loved these books when I was a kid, and I’m sure many other kiddos will enjoy them as well! I just have a lot of fun reading these, and hope they will keep being made. I want Goosebumps next!!
I love this book because it resembles to me and my arm.And you will see why.
Karen gets a pair of roller skates and decides to do a stunt; as a result she gets a broken wrist. But as she tells how it happens, the story gets more and more elaborate. Will Karen fess up? This was a cutely done, if not simple graphic novel that tells the tale of Babysitter's Little Sister number 2 in a satisfactory manner.
I will say, I thought Karen was the worst in her original books, but there is something about how Katy Farina has written and illustrated the character that just pops off the page! This version of Karen is easily favourite, and she is exactly the kind of well-rounded middle grader you want to see kids reading!
Kids tend to exaggerate because they think the truth is not enough to empress the others. When she is asked to tell what happened to her broken arm, The seven years old Karen adds, edits and doubles the risks that she supposedly faced during an accident she had while she was roller skating. While reading that lovely graphic novel, you will get to know how courageous and daring that little girl is. By the end, Karen will know that people admire her without having to make up events that didn't real...
Good book. not as good as the original babysitters club books. but it was still fun to read I would recommend.
Good
RATING: 3 STARSThe second graphic novel in the series wasn't as entertaining as Karen's Witch but still kept to Martin's spirit of Karen Brewer. I see there are two more graphic novels in the series and I am looking forward to reading more Karen adventures.
Rating: 4 starsi've been reading these graphic novels since like fourth grade so i felt obligated (i liked the original ones better though lol)
STARTING OFF THE YEAR WHERE I ENDED IT
I wasn't a fan of the first graphic novel because Karen was just sooooo bratty, but she's a much more reasonable child this time around, and I found myself enjoying this little tale about broken bones and truthfulness. A good book for introducing little kids to what goes on at a hospital when you've had an accident.
I was a little old for the original Little Sister books, but my 40-ish year old self is thoroughly enjoying the cute graphic novel versions. Sure, Karen is kind of bratty, but these books are meant for kids who either know or are a person like Karen. So, she exaggerates and wants to be the center of attention - it's a fun story with adorable art, and the age group it is meant for will eat it up.
I'm sure, back when Karen's Witch came out, that I looked to see what the release date for book two was. But in that time, I clearly forgot, because when I saw a trailer posted on the Baby-sitters Club Facebook page for this book being out today, I was surprised and glad that we were going out to do some shopping today!I. LOVED. THIS. I know a lot of BSC fans hate Karen, but she is actually a precious GEM. After she got her cast on and was pouting on the couch because nobody would do things
✔️ a book by an author who has written more than 20 books
Man so i really think this graphic novel series is great for younger kids who are interested in reading Smile etc. but aren't quite there yet, but Karen is so obnoxious. I really liked these books as a kid, and now i'm not sure why i didn't find her annoying then.
