3.5/5Dragon Age: Blue Wraith #1 is a very busy book. Several plot threads are introduced in fairly quick succession leaving the reader little time to catch up. While the writing team sets these storylines into motion with the necessary skill, it stills feels a bit overwhelming at times. For some reason only the first issue is coming up on Goodreads but I read the whole volume (I think it’s 3 issues)—I’m just gonna mark it this way. Listen, I’m an easily pleased bitch. ~one~ page of Fenris’s backstory? 4 starsThe only other thing I’ll say is that all the characters in this are characters from other DA graphic novels, which was actually quite fun but this book will be confusing without reading the other ones.
I was hoping for more Fenris, especially in a comic named after him. Hopefully he'll appear more in the next installments.
Great build for the rest of the storyAfter binge reading the first five this is a great start to the next of these comics, and I can't wait to finish and start Dark Fortress.

I gave this book ⭐️⭐️ stars which is really low. But you’ll find out why later in this review. This is the first graphic novel I have read. The art style in this book is super pretty. I really liked it. It was also super fast paced. I flew threw it which I really appreciated. I think people who have played the game and read all the other graphic novels/books would enjoy this more. F E N R I SThat's it, that's the review. No seriously: solid beginning, the cast from the previous comics is back and they really grew on me, it's almost a given that they will be in Dread Wolf Rising and that makes me!!! very happy!!Can't wait to see what they will do with Fen, I'm not worried about them turning the Magister into the good guy (family drama incoming though), but I do wish they'd give Fenris some peace, eventually.
1.5Why do all the Dragon Age comics suck?
Most of the Dragon Age comics have been fairly disappointing...I'm not sure why. In spite of the poor turnout, we, the fans, keep coming back. But I was so excited to learn that there was a new series being developed with Fenris as the lead. And then they gave us about 3pgs of him. What are you doing to us?!Our favorite broody elf better get more story line as the series continues.
I assume they gave up and wrote whatever. We were going to read it anyway .

I'm really enjoying these DA comics, and it will be nice starting DA4 with some idea of what's happened in Thedas while we were gone, for once. But, for the life of me, I cannot accept the way they draw horses in these. More specifically, people riding horses. All the saddles are far too low on those poor horses' back, and does any of you let them have a second of existence without a full set of equipment? Let horses rest their backs! Let them rest their mouths!
FENRIS MA BOIBought it for Fen’s sake. Would love to see him after 5 DA2 walkthroughs romancing him. The art is great.

I loved getting to see some of my favorite characters again. Some of the art style was weird and I wasn't as invested in the story as I thought I would be, but overall I liked it.
A beloved companion is back 😍
Needs more Fenris, hopefully to come in further issues!
