L. Nichols lives in New York’s Hudson Valley region with his wife and two kids. L has played the piano since he was a small child and has been diligently trying to learn Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata for the past two years. L is the author of FLOCKS, a graphic memoir about growing up queer in the evangelical south and finding your way in life. L also enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, and gardening.
Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. He was a crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in music and remains one of the most recognized and influential composers of all time. His life was troubled by his encroaching loss of hearing and chronic abdominal pain since his twenties. He died at the age of 56 during a thunderstorm.
