This is written in a style that I dislike. It is a fictional tale in which a teacher imparts wisdom to his student. It really doesn't work as fiction, the conversations are quite one sided and the characters are very stilted. It also doesn't really work (for me) as psychology/self help - I kept thinking, just lay out your theory already and forget about trying to turn it into a story.
Wonderful book.Extremely wise and helpful for ones self awakening.Life is a treasure and you are more than you think you are. Embrace things that happen with open heart and you will grow better, wiser, stronger. Give the new day most of it as if it will be your last and treat others with kindness, love and respect as if you will never see them again.
Slow tempo , I was bored in some parts the style was too direct than spontanousbut yet a good book in mission :)
I just wanted to tell that I love the books of Robin Sharma. He is discovery for me in this year. His thoughts are profound , his way of thinking helps people to live happy life. His stories are made in an interesting concept of magic. His books are balanced. I have one book more to read of this author, and I looking forward to his new books! It is my big pleasure to read them! And never enough reading !
8I read this in 2008. I couldn't remember anything from this book.:D except for this excerpt that I came across from my blog.''The whole reason we are alive is to grow into our greatest selves and rememebr the truth about who we fundamentaly are. Life will suport you perfectly in this quest. You will be sent people, events and trials that will invite you to reveal more of your brilliance and discover more of your possibilities.Often, our lessons will not come easily. Suffering has always been a ve...
It was a fun (enlightening) read. Came at a time when I really needed it. As they say 'when the student is ready only then life throws a teacher'. This book was lying on my tbr shelf for over a year. Anyways, the simple concepts explained with a pragmatic approach is what makes writings of Robin Sharma most relatable. I read The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari a year ago (which is a preamble of this one). The authentication of Julian Mantle's learning and their practical manifestation can be seen when...

In this book, Robin Sharma makes the reader to think out of the box, The reader is made to be aware of his own life and talents rather than being saddened and depressed. This chosen one(person) in this book is lead by a Master who is no other than the Monk who sold his Ferrari. He enlightens the chosen one on how to lead a disciplined and a happier life. The reader is made aware of how once cou...

50% of this book is basically the search result of "inspirational quotes" on Pinterest. The author keeps referring to these quotes to get his point across that life is too short and one must live it instead of just existing. The book has no character development and most of the things that the main characters says after he meets his mentor is summarizing everything the mentor just taught him that day. In fact, quite a bit of this book is repetition because the mentor or the mentee would repeat a...
