The first new Spider-man book I have tried since I got into current comics that has actually felt like Spider-man to me, with solidly dynamic art in both stories and a good sense of tact when dealing with less then desirable elements of the character's current status quo. It's not the best thing ever but it's way better then any post One More Day Spider-man book I've tried so if you're a fan of the character it's worth your time.
I'm always iffy when it comes to starting a new Spider-Man comic, because there have been so many! Peter Parker is a name that most people recognize, and there are certain expectations when it comes to his character. Spider-Man has been portrayed in numerous ways over the years, and I'm often pleasantly surprised with how they keep his comic relevant to what's happening in the world today. He's a down-to-earth superhero that people can relate to, and he deals with problems in his personal life a...
This is a precious comic for Spider-Man and pretty clean for anyone who wants to read a Spider-Man comic but doesn't want to read anything too dark.So many feelings and gets at the heart of what Spider-Man does. Other characters from the superhero universe show up too, and those cameos are fun.
Wow...this was great. Tom Taylor was just what Spider-Man needed. So in first 5 pages you get a near perfect spiderman scene that captures everything about him. The humor, the style, even the heart. The rest of issue focuses mostly on Peter, his roommate situation, and a new character who is being hunted. There's a extra 6 or 7 pages added that will also hit ya in the heart. Overall, I hardly read issues 1 but had to for this one. Tom Taylor hits it out of the park. I can't wait for volume 1!!!

Great first issue.
If I keep reading this title, which of course I will because it's Tom Taylor, will I end up crying? Yup. The artwork is beautiful and I love Taylor's writing, he just does an amazing job finding Peter's voice. I also really like the idea of focusing only on Peter's building and neighbors, making the story smaller gives the opportunity to lean on the characters more, therefore adding more heart to the story. (And like I said, I'm pretty sure I'll end up sobbing.)That being said, it's a bit of a s...
When I first saw that there was another new Spider-Man series coming out…I MAY have rolled my eyes and thought (loudly) to myself “another Spider-Man series?! But we have so many! And they’re so good!” But then I took some time to think about it. The other series ARE good, so there’s no reason to assume that this one won’t be. The title is pretty cute and quippy. And I like the author. And to top it off, I like Peter Parker, so I was willing to give the second series for him a try. I’m really
This was a Spider-Man book I didn’t think I would want, but I really enjoyed it. It feels like Marvel is really doing a great job here with the Spider-Man IP and I’m enjoying almost all of it.This issue we’re introduced to a day and a life of Peter Parker. I loved how he saves a family from a (view spoiler)[van falling from a bridge and instead of taking the money the family wants to give him, he suggests they give it to some homeless people on the corner (hide spoiler)]. From here it just conti...
Good start for this comic book. Nice cover, but disliked the way how characters are drawn.
An okay issue with an introduction to a new plot for Spidey. The set up was alright. Art was decent. Interesting ending addition. Curious if it will have far reaching impacts and undo certain past issues, or if it's just something that will end like nothing happened to keep the status quo maintained.

Mother Of Exiles part-1
Really loved this..this and the new miles series are doing the spiderman characters justice. Taylor is perfect for the character. Great stuff here. Can't wait for more.
This was my surprise-I-loved-it! read of the week. I really need to track down more of Tom Taylor's stuff. This comic had a helluva lotta heart and I was not expecting that. There's several things at play in this comic, and every one of them is interesting. They're well balanced, and they make me feel good. I think Taylor unlocked the potential of how wholesome a Spider-Man comic can get. Like, I've got the same kind of pride/feels that I get when I read the best kind of Superman story. This just...
After many Spiderman comics, finally one with peter parker as spider-man!
Two stories to kick things off. Both of them with cliffhangers. But both of them are interesting too. Mystery in the first one, emotional unease in the second. I enjoyed it.
Final a modern Spider-Man comic I actually enjoyed somewhat. Going to give this title a shot, so far it's not bad. The story with Aunt May at the end was good, I like the potential of what it could do to Peter.
My first issue this year! And also my first time reading superhero comics. This was really fun, I wonder why I've never read read superhero comics before. I love Spider-Man, he's my second favorite superhero in Marvel (The first is Daredevil) and the friendly neighborhood one is connected to Tom Holland whom I love as well.I can't wait for the next issue, the last panel needs some explaining.
