Thank you HFVBT and the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own. The Marriage Of Miss Jane Austen Volume III By: Collins Hemingway *REVIEW* 🌟🌟🌟🌟This story is the third and final volume of The Marriage Of Miss Jane Austen. It is the imagining of Jane Austen's life if she had married which, of course, she never did. While I enjoyed the story, I had a difficult time thinking about her life differently. The author does an excellent job of
In this third volume, the conclusion of the series trilogy of The Marriage of Miss Jane Austen, Collins Hemingway brings a beautiful end to the story of Jane and husband Ashton Dennis. This volume is the most heart wrenching, dark and most devastating. Without giving away the tragic details, the story is beautifully imagined on what Jane Austen's life might be during 1802-1809 where not much were chronicled and considered the "missing years". This volume does begin 4 months after Jane delivers a...
Hemingway, much to my surprise, messaged me on Goodreads after reading my review of Volume II; he answered the questions I had posed about the novel and was generally very kind. A big thank you to him for that! After feeling upon concluding the second volume that Hemingway's Jane was veering off into an unrealistic version of herself, convinced of the importance of the role of wife/mother over that of author, I admit this concluding installment entirely redeemed the trilogy for me. Jane and Ashto...
Another beautifully written and well researched book that is the finale of Jane Austen's 'missing years'. It has been a provocative series that delves further into Jane and Ashton's marriage, their son, George, and the Napoleonic war. It is heartbreaking, thought-provoking and at times gut-wrenching. "Life is risk my love. To end risk is to end life." (quote from the book)I also have come to realize why I couldn't embrace some of the scenarios within the last two volumes in general. I believe it...
In this 3rd volume of The Marriage of Miss Jane Austen, Collins Hemingway has totally convinced me that he knew Jane Austen. As a wife, a mother, a woman who knew great happiness and even greater sadness. Through his words I felt her exhaustion as she cared for her infant son, her concern when he became ill, and her devastation when she thought he might not recover. I also witnessed her happiness and her struggles in her marriage to Ashton Dennis. Hemingway has crafted a story that tugged at my
*I received a copy of Collins Hemingway’s The Marriage of Miss Jane Austen Vol III through Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tours for review purposes. As always, this review reflects only my honest thoughts on the book.*Having completed this trilogy, I’ve almost retitled this novel in my mind: The Tragedy of Miss Jane Austen. Indeed, the conclusion of this series reminded me of Shakespeare’s most sorrowful works. This made it all the more compelling: as much as I wanted to conclude the series to

It's impossible to review The Marriage of Miss Jane Austen Vol. III by Collins Hemingway without spoilers from Volume I and II. So if you've not had the opportunity to read the first two volumes yet, I would direct you to check out my review of Volume I and Volume II first to avoid spoilers.Authors like Austen and Bronte are often commented on writing so poignantly about love without having much experience in this area of their lives. What if she did, though. What if she had an earth-shattering
I read this book as a stand-alone and was immediately in love with this authors writing a first by me by this author won’t be my last!!!! The true detail in this era was amazing and I found janes story extremely fascinating! This book is very sad and filled with tragedy and how life was in this time period. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in history as I myself as a historical lover learned so much ! Can’t wait to read the first 2 books!
I had to have the conclusion to this series . . .Was a not miss if you had read the previous books. This was a serious journey in one woman's life of what may have been, could have been, and as far as we are concerned this was what her life was from the viewpoint were were given. The trilogy was well researched. Detailed. Thought-out. You could feel the realism. I felt like I was a spectator of Jane Austen's life. I had a front row seat to the way things unfolded. I have added this trilogy to my...
