It finished just as I was getting into it! I think this series is going to be a lot better than Magekiller though, as it's a fresh story about an elf called Vae who has just arrived in Kirkwall where she meets Varric who is now the Viscount. The artwork is incredible, and the story is promising. Check it out if you're a dragon age fan.
Yay, Kirkwall! Dragon Age II is my favorite installment of the series and it's a pleasure to see my dear Varric with a decent role in this comic. The narrator is a female elf (another favorite!) who is squire to a babbling knight who takes credit for all her work. In issue 1, she pulls a job while he keeps the town busy with his boisterous bragging, but her thievery doesn't go unnoticed...The art was pretty good. I like the characters, though something seems a little off about Varric's face... It...
Obviously hard to rate when it’s only #1 but Varric!! Obviously there is a lot of set up and I need to know more. And yay Charter!!
Pretty much just an introduction to characters. I didn't love the character art, but the backgrounds were nice. Little cliffhanger at the end to hook you in.
[Heads-up: DA fans might want to know that Knight Errant is set AFTER the Trespasser DLC in DA:I]I never know how to rate/review #1 issues, so I'm just going to say that it's good to be back in Kirkwall(view spoiler)[, Varric is delightful, Vaea is the Robin Hood the Elven Alienage deserves, Charter is everywhere (cf. Magekiller) and I'm not complaining, and Red Lyrium!Meredith is pure nightmare fuel -- Varric is going to give Hawke so much sh*t if she starts moving around. (hide spoiler)]. I'm
Looking forward to Knight Errant #2!It was worth the money I paid for the Kindle version, and as a DA fan, please do keep these coming while we're all waiting for DA4 so we don't go off and find some other hobby. The art was good, it paced perfectly, and it was good to see at least one favorite character return. There is a definite art to comics in terms of getting emotes across with simply a picture and a few words - this comic was displayed top notch skill in execution. I'd definitely buy again...
This is a very interesting first chapter for the new "Dragon Age" comic series. And already I am enjoying it MUCH more than the "Magekiller" series. First of all, the protagonist is SO MUCH BETTER and shows actual emotions and motivations! Then we get to see Kirkwall and Varric again! And it takes place during/after "Inquisition" so there is many new things to be seen and to explore! I can't wait for the second part to come out, as this one finished on a cliffhanger that really gets you pumped f...

Not bad, but not good neither. Only for hardcore Dragon Age fans
Varric, Kirkwall...what's not to like? - the first tome was a nice enough introduction to the "hero" ("fingers") . I'm surprised to see charter again, I guess she'll be an important character in the next Dragon Age Game (first in mage killer, now here... are you trying to tell us something, Bioware?).
After Magekiller, I really don't expect to much for this one. But I'm glad to be back in Kirkwall and see the locations and even the Champion's statue... nice!I really believe every new protagonist in this comics series is going to be some kind of companion in the next game, so I see this like an introduction to Vaea for something better in the future.Let's see what happen in the next issue...
I'm a huge Dragon Age fan so there's very little that BioWare can do in it's stories to keep me unhappy and this did not disappoint. Vaea is extremely interesting as a character and I'm looking forward to seeing her journey through.
3.5 starsDang, my girl, Charter is just showing up everywhere now, huh?
