Relic Quest

Relic Quest

Dave Berry
0/5 ( ratings)
On a school field trip to the Natural History Museum, Josh Jacobs and his older sister, Jasmine inadvertently foil the robbery of an ancient artefact known as a Cryptostone.

The stone is one of eight pieces which had been hidden on Earth throughout the planets history by a guardian race called the Jowlox.
The Jowlox, a time travelling species, took the eight Cryptostone’s and hid each one in a different period of the Earths history in order to prevent them from falling into the hands of the power crazed Azelus Khan, a member of the galactic elite, set on universal domination.

Since their hiding, Khan and his Cyborg creation, known only as Mantor, have been searching for the Cryptostone’s.
The eight Cryptostone’s, once linked together, form a Cryptoport, a teleportation device so powerful it can transport its holder to any point in time or space anywhere in the universe and can be used to literally re-write both the past and the future.

Now the first Cryptostone, the Keystone, is in the hands of Josh and his sister and they have become, like Mantor and his Master, Relic Hunters.

Transported back in time to ancient Egypt, Josh and his sister must find the other seven stones and complete the Cryptoport in order to get home again.

But their quest is a dangerous one.

Time travel through Earth’s history is dangerous, as Jasmine is the first to find out.

She is used to being the older of her and Josh but, due to a teleportation glitch with DNA coding, she materialises in ancient Egypt five years younger and finds herself, now, Josh’s little sister – a discovery which she is not happy about!

With Gerin, the Cryptoguide – a holographic assistant who is projected from a Light-Bee within the Keystone, Josh and Jasmine begin the unenviable journey across ancient Egypt to find the next stone in their quest to complete the Cryptoport and return home.

Battling giant scorpions, Mummies and facing the God Anubis himself, Josh, Jasmine and Gerin travel across the barren, Egyptian desert with Mantor always just a few steps behind.

Mantor, an expert in time and space travel and an evil accomplice to his ruthless master, not only has the ability to step through time but also to manipulate it and to alter historical events.

Mantor creates sandstorms, brings armies of mummified Pharaohs to life and wreaks havoc and chaos wherever he can in his attempts to stop Josh and Jasmine and to retrieve the Keystone for his master.

In the end, Josh and Jasmine, with their faithful Cryptoguide, find the second Cryptostone before Mantor but the stone only transports them to the location of the next stone that the Jowlox had hidden through time and they can be sure that when they arrive in their next period of history, it will not be long before Mantor finds them again.
