Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books✮✮✮ 3 STARS ✮✮✮ I love Jen Frederick. Her books usually never fail to make me laugh and put a stupid grin on my face. Downed released almost a year ago so I was more than ready to get another Gridiron story. I also love the friends-to-lovers trope but unfortunately Played missed the mark this time for me. Let me explain: I get that if you have a wonderful friendship you care about you do everything to protect it. I understand the fear of jeopardizing it by adm...
Title: PlayedSeries: Gridiron #4Author: Jen FrederickRelease date: October 6, 2017Cliffhanger: NoHEA(view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)]Played is the fourth installment of the Gridiron series, bringing us Ty Masters' story, who is Knox's identical twin. Knox is the hero from Sacked, book one, which is quite possibly my favorite of the entire series so far. The Gridiron books have been new adult perfection for me, and the standard for what I look for in the genre. Jen Frederick knows how to delive...
Perfect! I just loved it!Adorable and funny and sexy and sweet and footbally friends-to-lovers-romance!I want my own TY now!!!!! ♡
Think Ty is the best Masters Twin!! I really enjoyed this book and the whole series so far. I 've been looking forward to Ty's books. Since his twin brothers book where we got to see him. Ty is a lot different then his twin brother Knox. Ty even though he's a lil older seems like the younger brother in somes way. He feels like he is in Knox's shadow when really he isnt. He has put he career in the NFL on hold by a year cause of Knox but he never says anything. He just wants to be himself and
Spoilers aheadThis was such a disappointment*Friends to lovers, both with OP during the four years*They hookup one night but h doesn't say anything and H was so drunk he forgot*He had a girlfriend who he thankfully did not have sex with, they were broken up before his almost sex with the h but got back together after. No sex with H and his ex girlfriend*This book was slow as hell with lots of trouble for Ty with football, I found it unfair because none of the other guys had football trouble darn...
4.25 STARS[image error]Jen Frederick delivers the third installment of this series gifting Knox Masters, hero of the first book, twin brother’s story. Even though there are a lot of similarities between Ty and Knox, being identical, both heading for the NFL, for me and Ara Martin that is where the similarities stop. I really liked Ty and if both brothers were standing in front of me it’s a no brainer that I could and would choose Ty. Ara Martin is definitely my favorite heroine of the series. I...
NOW LIVE!Amazon US * Amazon UKRe-read 9/4/18I'm a huge fan of Jen Frederick and especially of this series. I've been waiting for Ty's story for what seems like forever and I am not afraid to admit I squealed a little when I found his book on my Kindle. He's wasn't a huge presence in the series but he still instantly grabbed my attention and I knew his book was going to be brilliant. Played is a friends-to-lovers tale of Ty and his BFF Ara. They've been close since the start of school but now tha...
***** 5 stars *****The best from the series!
An example set, doesn’t have to be followed.Turns out my 14-year-old son has already found his wife. Well, if we work it by Knox and Ty’s rules, the person who can tell the identical twins apart is their life partner. From the time he attended kindy, my son was always able to tell his little twin friends apart. Me, no chance in heck. Of course, I asked him how he was able to tell them apart? His response cracked me up, keep in mind he was only 4. *One of them smiles*. After a humorous chat with
3.5 Quit Being Scared Stars* * *1/2 Spoiler FreeThis is a study in loving someone who is focused on a career and could possibly make you feel second place. Because Ara Martin's father did that with her mother... Being friends with the one she loves, College Football Star Ty Masters, seems smarter than trying to share his life as a girlfriend. Jen Frederick puts us knee deep in the senior year of these two. Ty is working with everything he has to make the top draft pick in the NFL. His twin broth...
Played by Jen Frederick was the fourth book in the Gridiron series. We originally met Tyler “Ty” Masters in book one, Sacked, as Knox’s twin brother. I loved Tyler from the start and even more with each encounter throughout the series. He gorgeous, funny, dedicated and loyal. He’s also a star football player and waited a year to enter the draft so he could win a college national football championship. He’s been best friends with Ava Martin for the past four years. He’s always been attracted to h...
I really needed a book with friends to lover's trope + a sport romance book to work after the last two I read failed. When I heard Jen's new book was about Ty Masters, I needed this book like my next breath. Ever since Knox's twin brother made an appearance in Sacked I knew I needed his book. How could you resist a twin brother?Played is IMO really different than the first three books in the Gridiron series. Where the others were sweet, sexy and all football, here you have full angst.I read the
5 Ty and Ara StarsI really enjoyed this book, in fact, I think this is my favourite one of the series. Ty is the identical twin brother of Knox Master's (first book) but he is a very different character. Ara is his best friend and these two have been friend zoning each other for four years. But College Graduation is looming. Ty is heading for the NFL and Ara is facing the prospect of losing the man she has loved for four years. Is she willing to risk losing her best friend if he finds out her tr...
Ty and Ara are perfect best friends to lovers. The story is emotional as well as fun-to-read. Loved the bantering back and forth between them. And, of course, seeing Knox again & the incorporation of the "twin test." It's Ty's turn to face the NFL draft -- will he outshine his twin brother? You'll have to read his story to find out for yourself. If you are into sports-related romance -- and football especially -- this is a slow burn to the hot stuff, but worth it!
This was a good read.....however it didn't quite live up to JockBlocked for me! It was lovely hearing about some of the other characters again, and I'll keep auto downloading this series from Jen Frederick but book two still has top spot for me!!
***AVAILABLE NOW - FULL REVIEW***4 Friends to Lovers CROWNSI have been dying for Ty's story since book one in the Gridiron series, featuring his twin brother, Knox. I was so enamored with his character and story that I absolutely NEEDED Ty's happy ending, and Jen Frederick didn't disappoint with this friends to lovers romance.Ty! How I longed to get to know this more serious, yet just as devishly handsome man. Everything from his dedication to football to his aloofness with his girlfriends to hi...
Played is the fourth installment in Gridiron series and it's a story revolving around Knox Masters' twin Ty . It's a story of growth in every possible segment that would define and mold a young person at the crissroads of their lives-taking responsibilities, considering and weighting decisions about the future, while they are, simultaneously, trying to find themselves and the love over the firm friendship. In that segment "friends to lovers" trope was a perfect way to present these two cha
4.5 StarsI Loved Ty so much!!! The reason for the 1/2 star deduction... Ara.... she was fine. I liked her quirkiness and I could feel the connection between her and Ty, but she was just SUCH A P**SY!!! I get that you don't want to lose your best friend and your dad has had all these failed relationships which show you that Love doesn't last. I mean all that fear was understandable to a certain point. But, when you get to the point where you're going to lose your friend regardless then ... SERIO...
Its not the fact that they did it because it's not bad decision but what bugs me is the fact that both Ty and Ara talk about not doing one thing throughout entire book to do exactly that at the end. (view spoiler)[her job and his agent (hide spoiler)] But I loved everything else :***
✱5 STARS!✱☾Oh boy. Okay, so I totally forgot this was coming out so soon! It's been on my TBR forever and it was finally released but I hadn't seen anything online about it! When I saw it was out, I downloaded it SO fast and began my commute into school. I did not want to stop! Ty is that adorable type of guy, I feel like the author wanted to portray him as a bad boy type, but nope. He's adorable and was just lost about his life - mostly girls if we're being honest here.☾I love how Ty had feelin...
