This new collection contains humor columns written between July 2013 and May 2014, an overly odd time by anybody's standards.

Russia hosted the Winter Olympics...at a Black Sea beach resort. It ended up being the most expensive Winter Games in history, despite the Kremlin's attempts to pull off the entire opening ceremonies with only two AAA batteries.
The world said 'goodbye' to Nelson Mandela in a televised event translated by the world's most incompetent interpreter, if you don't count Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
Notorious Boston gangster Whitey Bulger was convicted and got two life sentences, plus five more years.
Barack Obama was sworn in for the second time, although he was sworn AT way more times.
Army private Bradley Manning leaked 700,000 sensitive files and then changed his name to Chelsea, which stumped Homeland Security for over 18 months.
In Malaysia, an entire plane vanished, prompting conspiracy theorists to suggest the plane had changed its name to Chelsea.
And in a secret midnight vote, Congress voted to not raise taxes.

I made that last part up.
Really.
