I loved this book!!!! It's one of my favorite books of this month! RTC!(:
Also cute as heck, but felt much too short! Wow single issue comics are frustrating to read, I want mooooore. I don't know which one of the awesome ladies does the colouring but holy moley it's fantastic. So bright and I just want to cosplay all of the characters immediately because they're ADORABLE (view spoiler)[ especially when they SMOOCH (hide spoiler)]
This one was.......okay is definitely wasn't my favorite but I overall still enjoyed it.
Still fun, campers find weird junk. Friendship and monsters.
I know this is a very popular comic series, but after 2 books, I've determined it's just not for me. Target audience (and age) not withstanding, I just didn't "get it."
I got into this series back somewhere in October or September, I go try and finish the second book right after the first solely because if I were going to read it I wanted the actual paper back book. The pages flow better when you have the graphic novel. Anyway this series caught my attention because it was adorable and cheesy (friendship to the max, right) it seemed like a quick read where you'll fall in love with a wild story and great characters, and I was absolutely right. The book is super
This was exactly what I needed. I'm having trouble with my anxiety again and reading Lumberjanes made me forget about it for a little while, so yayy. Anyway, back to Lumberjanes: this issue was really funny and the colors/art were awesome! *.* I'm completely in love with it. Also, can we talk about Ripley? And Mal and Molly? And April? And Jo? I mean gaaaah these girls are awesome!
Lumberjanes #2 is a graphic novel that takes place in a summer camp that is filled with extraordinary characters and girls. I admit that there were times when the plot was a bit hard to follow and that I still had trouble telling some of these girls apart but overall, it kept me entertained. The artwork was wonderful as it has been in the past and I still really liked the character of Jen.
Getting better now that I understand how the books are split and continue into the next book in the series.
Wow, that was quick to find a ship. Molly/Mal are adorable.
Oh. My. Gee. This book is AMAZING. There was actual gleeful clapping on my part, as well as legitimate laughing out loud. I love zany creatures and wacky happenings, but especially when there are girl crushes involved. READ THIS. READ IT NOW.
This is adventure time for the friends!!
I wont give anything on this book because you basically are still following the Lumberjanes at the camp. My review from Book 1.This was so cute. So hard to give any details on it since it was only like 25 pages but you follow a group of kids that attend a camp and by the end of the 25 pages you want to know what is happening at this camp.
Called it. One of them works for Adventure Time now. The problem with these comics is that there's no substance, no real threat, no development. The characters are practically interchangeable to me. And the art is way too...heavy. That's the only way I can describe it, the line work is not bad, and can be lovely at times. But whoever colored and lettered these comics did not think it out that well. When everything is a solid, heavy, bright color it's hard to see what's going on. And the letterin...
This was so much funnier than the first one. Here the characters start to be fleshed out a bit more; Ripley and Mal are my favourites. The artwork as with everything Noelle Stevenson related is amazing.Onto the third!!
I loved this book. I got scared for Jo when she was froze but I was happy when her friends helped her.
i found myself laughing out loud and I am curious about how they will get out of this situation. Cliff hanger.
Cute, fast read about a group of girls fighting monsters... In one word : awesome !
Lumberjanes #2 by Noelle StevensonMy rating: 4 of 5 starsMarch 29 - 29When you’re a scout, nothing is more important than being prepared, but how do you prepare for legions of supernatural creatures threatening to beat down your scouting camp’s door? Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley are about to find out! It’s just supposed to be a normal day at camp with games and a bit of canoeing, but when the girls find themselves separated from the rest of camp they realize there really is a lot more going...
This series is cute so far. I wish it were in a volume already. Adding the individual issues to goodreads feels like I'm scamming my GR account so it looks like I read a lot more than I do. Oh well! MAYBE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING.
