Dead or Alive - Things are slow at private detective Rick Striker's office. He's just making ends meet with the same old cases. When another missing persons case walks through the door, Rick is grateful - these types of cases are usually easy money and he's good at them. And this one looks really easy. It looks like the girl might not really even be missing. He'll be lucky to be able to put in enough time earn out his retainer.
But things are different than they look, and he's drawn into a world that is very strange to him - and becomes stranger with each passing hour he spends on the case.
Night Family - Spoiled rich girl Lisa Warwick is bored, but isn't she always bored? When her BFF Megan suggests that they go to a goth dance club called Skid Row, Lisa jumps on the idea - it's something different, and she's definitely up for something different. But Skid Row isn't exactly what the friends expect and when Lisa and Megan are first separated from their boyfriends, then from each other, Lisa finds out that "something different" is really and truly something different.
Rick's Rules - Rick Striker thinks he's put enough distance between him and his foes. He likes the bar he's temping at and he really likes the young lady he's met in this new town. But trouble has a way of finding him, and the vampires don't care who they eliminate in their quest to find the detective.
It's time for Rick Striker to go home. Time to confront both his fears and his foes. Time to use all of Rick's Rules in order to come out on top.
