OK, by now, I'm just sick of the series. I really liked it for awhile - I loved the idea of making up for horrible wrongs, but by now it's so repetitive I can't even care anymore. The newest sister Annie drives me up a wall. The "punishments" for the bad guys are stupid. I'm over the group of women and their shenanigans.
This was one of those life is too short books. The whole premise of this book-which is, unbelievably, the 8th in this series, is that a group of vigilante woman are getting revenge on men who have done them wrong. The writing is stilted, the characters border on the ridiculous (I mean, come on, a former English secret service guy who doesn't have anything better to do than run a 'war room' for a bunch of revenge seeking women)?
Hide & SeekOutstanding! Hmm, the roster has increased in numbers. Looks like more adventure & intrigue are in store for us in future books. Yes!!!
This is another book in the Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels. In this novel the women and men of the group attempt to bring down an enemy who happens to be high up in the FBI organization. Added to the usual characters and taking more prominent roles are DA Lizzie Fox and Judge Nellie Easterly. There is a lot of action in this novel, but I would have liked to have enjoyed more plot and character development. As usual, Ms. Michaels gives her readers a fun experience.
A fun read. The Sisterhood is gathering quite a crew of backups. I would have like more closure. What exactly happened to Riley after leaving the hospital? The plot is a little thin in this one, but I want to read the whole series. The characters are such fun.
I felt like this book was a made for T.V. movie. It is a simple read with not much depth or originality. The book is about 7 women who form a vigilante group called "The Sisterhood". The book tries to establish the fact that women can do basically anything men can do. I feel the book fails to accomplish this, because every move and decision the ladies make is controlled by some guy named Charles. Basically, the women are a bunch of puppets on a string for the male dominant character.
I just love these books.
The "Sisterhood Series" sort of ended after book 7 - since all of the original team's revenges had completed. This is now both a continuation and a new series - as Fern Michaels explains in the intro that she is responding to reader requests for more. The team has now expanded not only in members but in scope. The plot continues to be the main attraction of these books. Character development and internal story line consistency are still weak. However, it was refreshing to see less violence in th...
