This was a wonderful story. The main character's deep sensitivity is portrayed between the passages of his snappy behaviour. It flowed easily, all of the characters were easy to like and the story and Otto's inner world are heart breaking.
Hands down my favorite short story. It's as perfect as a short story can get in my humble opinion.
came across Some other better Otto in a book of short stories (My mistress's Sparrow is Dead), and it has been one of my favorite short stories so far. Definitely worth its own rating.
Just a perfect short story. Weaves together its alternating strands of family life and deep reflection so perfectly. Everything is inextricable
